Community Grant Information

The Community Council runs events throughout the year. Any money raised from these events is ring-fenced and is reinvested back into the community to support local groups and causes. This is a perfect example of a community supporting themselves. Below are only a few examples of how we have helped local groups in the last year. You can see if you are eligible to apply to the fund, and hopefully apply, at the bottom of this page.

The maximum sum available per individual grant application is £300.

Are you eligible to apply?

Not For Profit?

Are you a group, organisation or individual who operates on a not for profit basis? We cannot award any grant to any of the above where profit is made.

Of Local Benefit?

Does your group or project benefit people locally? It is always more advantageous if your project will support a lot of people, especially if your project helps those who might be underrepresented. Your project must also be within the geographical boundary of Clydach.

Applied In The Last 12 Months?

We can only accept one application from each group, organisation or individual in a 12 month period. Please check our terms and conditions below, as ‘sub groups’ that are part of the same club may be treated as separate entities; eg. Under 6’s and Under 8’s groups/teams from the same club are treated as separate entities.

What Type Of Things Do We Support?

The Community Fund will back projects that benefit a person, or persons within the Clydach area and there are very few things that we won’t support. Applications are assessed on their individual merits. In general, funding is mostly granted to projects that benefit a greater number of people over a longer term period. The Community Fund is prepared to support advertising campaigns in order for small projects or groups to generate a wider membership.

Please read the examples that have been provided above. Hopefully your project will appear there if successful!
